Maoists torch seven vehicles in Jharkhand
May 26th, 2011 - 4:16 pm ICT by IANSRanchi, May 26 (IANS) Maoist rebels set seven vehicles on fire in Jharkhand’s Palamau district early Thursday, police said. There was no casualty in the incident.
According to the police, 50 Maoist guerrillas torched seven trucks on the highway near Nava village of Palamau district, around 170 km from Ranchi.
The drivers and their assistants managed to escape, they added.
Police have launched a combing operation to nab the culprits.
