Maoists kill three of rival group
June 6th, 2011 - 9:44 pm ICT by IANSRanchi, June 6 (IANS) A smaller Maoist group Monday killed three supporters of the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) in Gumla district of Jharkhand, police said.
Police spokesman S.N. Pradhan told IANS that the People’s Liberation Front of India (PLFI) was to blame for the killings.
According to police sources, PLFI members slit the throats of the victims. The dead were identified as Shukra Oraon, Gandura Oraon and Somnath Oraon. Shukra and Gandura were brothers and Somnath was their cousin.
All three were said to be supporters of the banned CPI-Maoist.
