Maoists kill one in Orissa
February 7th, 2010 - 2:18 pm ICT by IANSBhubaneswar, Feb 7 (IANS) Maoist guerrillas killed one person in Sundergarh district of Orissa early Sunday suspecting him to be a police informer, an official said.
Sukru Oram, a labour contractor for the railways, was abducted by the rebels Saturday night from his house at Kumakela village. His body was recovered from Champajharan area Sunday.
“Maoists have killed Sukru Oram after abducting him. They suspected him to be a police informer,” Banai Sub-Divisional Police Officer Sudarshan Sethy told IANS.
This is the third killing by the Maoists in the area in the last 10 days.
