Maoists kill man in West Bengal
April 6th, 2010 - 7:54 pm ICT by IANSKolkata, April 6 (IANS) Suspected Maoists shot dead a villager in West Bengal’s Bankura district Tuesday, police said.
“We have got information that a group of unidentified miscreants - suspected to have links with the Maoists - killed a villager this (Tuesday) morning,” Bankura district Superintendent of Police Vishal Garg told IANS over phone.
The incident took place at Jamgeria near Ranibandh area in the district. The victim has been identified as Swapan Sardar, 35, Garg said.
