Patna, March 10 (IANS) Four members of a family, including two minors, were killed by Maoist guerrillas in Arwal district of Bihar, police said Tuesday.
The incident took place Monday in Pachubigha village, 150 km from here.

“The rebels slit the throats of Nageshwar Mahto’s mother Puleshwari Devi, his wife Lukhmani Devi and two minor daughters Ritu and Mitu,” Superintendent of Police G.P. Sinha said.

Nageshwar Mahto told the police: “We had a dispute over a piece of land with my relative Avdesh Singh. He hired the (Maoists) to eliminate us.”

A leaflet recovered from the spot threatened to eliminate others members of Mahto’s family if the dispute was not settled in Avdesh Singh’s favour, Sinha said.
