Maoists blow up school in Jharkhand
June 7th, 2011 - 9:20 pm ICT by IANSRanchi, Jun 7 (IANS) Maoist guerrillas blew up a school building in Jharkhand’s Chatra district Tuesday, police said. No one was injured in the incident.
According to police, around 20 to 25 guerrillas raided a school located near Pratappur in Chatra district, around 170 km from Ranchi, and blew it up using detonators early Tuesday.
In a separate development, police arrested two Maoists, including a woman, from Basia village of Gumla district Tuesday.
Police seized three rifles and live cartridges from them.
