Maoists blow up panchayat building
August 13th, 2010 - 2:16 pm ICT by IANSBhubaneswar, Aug 13 (IANS) Maoist guerrillas blew up a panchayat office building in Orissa’s Malkangiri district early Friday. No one was inside the building at the time of the blast, police said.
“About 20-30 rebels used landmines to blow up a building at Malavaram village,” a police officer told IANS.
Malkangiri district, 618 km from here, is considered a Maoist stronghold.
