Maoists blow up forest office in Orissa
August 20th, 2009 - 9:59 pm ICT by IANSBhubaneswar, Aug 20 (IANS) Maoists Thursday blew up a forest range office in Orissa’s Sundergarh district, police said.
About 30 rebels, in two vehicles, came to the office at Tamra under the Banki police station around 2 p.m. and asked the forest officials to leave the office, before blowing it up, Rourkela’s superintendent of police Diptesh Pattnaik said.
The Maoists also took away a motorcycle and generator from the office.
