Bharatiya Janata Party Bhubaneswar, March 19 (IANS) Maoist guerrillas abducted a labour contractor from an Orissa village and beheaded him for no apparent reason, police said Thursday.
The decapitated body of 35-year-old Ravi Oram was found Wednesday night in a forest near his home in Renjra village in Rourkela district, about 600 from here.

At least 20 to 25 masked men had abducted him Tuesday.

“It was the handiwork of Maoists,” Superintendent of Police S.K. Bala told IANS.

Over a dozen masked gunmen had attacked the house of Bharatiya Janata Party national vice president Jual Oram at Kendudhi village in the same district on Feb 22. The culprits escaped when hundreds of villagers rushed to the spot.
