December 3rd, 2009 - 10:42 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Kolkata, Dec 3 (IANS) Several Maoist posters emerged in Kolkata’s posh satellite township of Salt Lake Thursday - one at a police kiosk and another on the wall of a school building - creating a flutter in the area.
The Maoist posters were pasted on the wall of a police kiosk and the Bidhannagar Government High School.
The posters eulogised the ‘Lalgarh agitation’ and demanded the release of arrested People’s Committee Against Police Atrocities (PCAPA) leader Chattradhar Mahato, besides protesting against the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M)-led Left Front government and its policies, a police official said.
“The police tore off the posters,” he said.
He said police had already initiated a probe to find out those responsible
for the incident.
