Maoist commander arrested in Jharkhand
January 2nd, 2011 - 7:53 pm ICT by IANSRanchi, Jan 2 (IANS) A Maoist commander wanted in more than 17 criminal cases was arrested from Jharkhand’s Chatra district Sunday, police said.According to police, Devendra Ganju, zonal commander of Tritiya Prastuti Committee (TPC), was arrested on a tip-off from the Simeria area. Incriminating documents were recovered from him.
The TPC is active in seven districts of Jharkhand.
Chatra district is around 160 km from Ranchi.
