Maoist blow up school, bridge in Jharkhand
December 15th, 2009 - 6:45 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Ranchi, Dec 15 (IANS) Maoists continued their violent activities in Jharkhand’s Lohardagga district for the second successive day Tuesday, blowing up a school building, a bridge and setting two vehicles ablaze, police said. No casualties were reported.
Maoists blew up a government middle school in Rorang village under Kisko police station of the district and a small bridge nearby before setting two empty vehicles - a jeep and a minibus - on fire, Jharkhand police spokesman V.H. Deshmukh told IANS.
The rebels had set off a landmine blast Monday causing death of two policemen in the same Kisko police station area.
