Maoist arrested, explosives seized
March 10th, 2011 - 8:38 pm ICT by IANSRanchi, March 10 (IANS) A Maoist involved in over 13 crimes was arrested and explosives recovered from him on the outskirts of Jharkhand’s capital Ranchi Thursday, police said.
Ganesh Ganju was arrested from Paras forested area at Bundu. Police seized 320 explosive boosters, 12 gelatin bombs and other explosives from him.
In another development, police arrested two women who went to meet Maoist leader Ajay Purti in Chaibasa jail Thursday.
Vinodi Surin, along with another woman, was carrying Rs.8,000 when arrested near the jail.
