Man’s nose cut for asking money for water
January 11th, 2011 - 8:39 pm ICT by IANSBhopal, Jan 11 (IANS) A man in Morena district of Madhya Pradesh who gave water from his well to some of his neighbours had his nose cut off after he asked for payment, police said Tuesday.Ashok Sharma, a resident of Ambah village, had given water to some of his neighbours for farming Monday.
But four of his neighbours got angry when he asked them to pay for the water used Tuesday, and attacked him with a sharp weapon, causing injuries on his lips and nose, which was severed.
Morena’s police superintendent Sanjay Kumar said all those accused of attacking Sharma are on the run now.
Sharma is undergoing treatment at a district hospital in Morena, some 450 km from here.
