Nusa Dua (Bali), Nov 19 (IANS) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Saturday left for Singapore on the second leg of his four-day ‘east’ visit after attending the India-ASEAN and East Asia Summits and holding several bilateral meetings, including with US President Barack Obama and Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao.
The prime minister, who is pushing ahead with India’s Look East policy, will hold discussions with the leadership of Singapore during his two-day visit as well as unveil the Jawaharlal Nehru marker at the Asian Civilisations Museum in the city state, underscoring the historical links between India and Singapore.
Manmohan Singh, who has travelled extensively this month, having attended the G20 summit in Cannes and the SAARC summit in the Maldives, returns home Sunday night just in time for the winter session of parliament beginning Tuesday.
