Man who shot ex-boss’s wife arrested
February 22nd, 2011 - 7:46 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Feb 22 (IANS) A man, who tried to kill his ex-employer after being sacked but ended up shooting his wife, has been arrested, police said Tuesday.Wasim, 22, who hails from Rampur in Uttar Pradesh, tried to shoot his former employer Sabeer Khan at Bhajanpura area in east Delhi Monday morning but Khan’s wife Shahnaz Begam came between the two and the bullet hit her in the hand. She was taken to hospital and her condition was now stable.
Wasim was apprehended from the house of his sister at Jai Parkash Nagar in Ghonda area of east Delhi Tuesday, a police officer said.
During interrogation, Wasim told police that he worked in Khan’s factory for two years but was sacked a week ago after complaints about his behaviour.
“He was sacked a week ago for regularly drinking alcohol in the factory premises. Before leaving, he threatened to kill Khan,” the officer added.
