Man shot dead, robbed of Rs.3 lakh
January 26th, 2011 - 12:46 am ICT by IANSAgra, Jan 25 (IANS) A man was Tuesday shot dead in Uttar Pradesh’s Fatehabad town by unidentified masked men on a motorcycle who snatched away his bag containing Rs.3 lakh, police said.Dare Lal, a 42-year-old dairy owner in Fatehabad, 20 km from Agra, was shot dead while he was returning on his cycle from the bank after withdrawing the money.
He was stopped by the two masked assailants, who first tried to snatch away the bag, but when Dare Lal resisted, one of the assailants fired at him from close angle,a police official said.
He died on the way to hospital, he added.
