Man run over by DTC bus
July 28th, 2012 - 1:10 am ICT by IANSNew Delhi, July 27 (IANS) A 22-year-old labourer died Friday after a Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) bus ran over him Friday, police said.
The accident occurred in Prahladpur area in west Delhi.
Bhora Ram, a resident of the area, was walking near the Prahladpur bus stand when the DTC bus that was coming from Bawana and heading towards Uttam Nagar ran him over.
The bus driver and conductor had fled by the time a police team arrived.
Police have impounded the bus and registered a case against the driver. The body was sent to the nearby Babu Jagjivan Ram Hospital for a post-mortem.
