Man mowed down by Blueline bus in Delhi
January 6th, 2009 - 8:13 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Jan 6 (IANS) A 25-year-old man was killed after he came under the wheels of a Blueline bus in the capital Tuesday.The man, yet to be identified, lost his balance while stepping down from the Blueline bus plying on route 333 from Anand Vihar to Jahangirpuri in northwest Delhi around 10 a.m.
“The bus driver accelerated even before the man could step down. He fell on the road and came under the wheels of the bus,” a police officer said.
The man died on the spot. The bus driver was arrested.
At least four people have died in road accidents involving Blueline buses since the beginning of 2009. During 2008, at least 111 people were mowed down by Blueline buses.
