Man lynched for killing wives
November 7th, 2011 - 7:51 pm ICT by IANSRanchi, Nov 7 (IANS) A man was lynched in Ranchi Monday by an angry mob that suspected he had killed his three wives, police said.
According to police, Montu Tirkey, a resident of Tangratoli of Ranchi, was beaten to death by a mob that also included women. The people suspected him of being responsible for the deaths of his three wives.
“Some men and women killed Tirkey by beating him up severely. We are investigating the case,” Kamal Kishore, officer in charge of Sukhdeonagar police station of Ranchi, told reporters.
Police have sent the body for post-mortem.
