Man kills friend to avoid repaying loan
January 25th, 2011 - 11:24 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Jan 25 (IANS) Annoyed over his friend’s repeated demands to repay his loan, a 22-year-old man killed him and dumped his body in west Delhi, police said Tuesday. Police have apprehended the accused, Nirmal, from Rajdhani Park Metro Station from where he planned to take a bus for Haryana.
A body was found lying near a dispensary in Nangloi area Sunday and was identified as that of Rakesh, 22.
“Rakesh’s family members told us that he went with Nirmal Saturday night to take back the around Rs.6,000, which he had loaned Nirmal some time ago but Nirmal did not return,” Assistant Commissioner of Police (Nangloi) Sandeep Byala told IANS.
During the interrogation, Nirmal told police that he was fed up by the daily demand of money by Rakesh and stabbed him to death. “He then dumped his blood-stained clothes and dagger on the tracks near Nangloi station,” added Byala.
