Man kills cousin to avenge sacking
July 11th, 2010 - 10:55 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Ghaziabad, July 11 (IANS) A 25-year-old man killed his uncle’s daughter and then shot himself as the girl’s father had sacked him from his job, police said Sunday.
The incident occurred Saturday evening in the Dhaulana area of Ghaziabad.
According to Senior Superintendent of Police Raghubir Lal, Ishtiaq barged into his uncle Mohammad Akhtar’s house with a pistol around 9 p.m. and shot dead Shabnam, 14.
Later, Ishtiaq shot himself in the temple while trying to flee as he was chased by villagers, police said.
Ishtiaq worked at Akhtar’s shop for few years. He was sacked sometime back by Akhtar due to some complaints.
