Man kidnapped, shot in Delhi
April 1st, 2011 - 11:51 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, April 1 (IANS) A 27-year-old man was kidnapped, shot at and robbed in the national capital, police said Friday.
“Three men in a car kidnapped Sonu Kumar from South Delhi’s Dhaula Kuan bus stand when he was there to take a bus for his home Thursday night,” said a senior police officer.
The poluice said Kumar lives at Najafgarh on the outskirts of Delhi. The kidnappers threw a cloth laced with a sedative on the vitim’s face.
“They kept Kumar in the moving car for three hours and then robbed cash and valuables including jewellery items from him and then shot him. They dumped him in Kanjhawala area Friday morning,” said Deputy commissioner of Police Chhaya Sharma.
The victim is recuperating in a hospital and was yet to recover consciousness late Friday.
