New Delhi, April 10 (IANS) A 50-year-old man jumped off the 17th floor of a high-rise building in the heart of national capital Friday and committed suicide, the police said.
Harish Bishra jumped from the Nirmal Towers on Barakhamba Road off Connaught Place and died on the spot. No suicide note has been recovered, according to the police.

A police officer said Bishra’s friend Roshan Lal, who works in the same building, informed the police control room about the incident.

“Roshan Lal said Harish had come to meet him regarding some personal matter. He said he was inside the office when he heard the sound of breaking of a glass. He immediately came out to find what has happened and discovered Harish lying on the ground in a pool of blood,” he said.

He said Bishra worked at a furniture shop in Karol Bagh and is survived by his wife and an 18-year-old son.

The police have recovered some medical receipts from his pocket suggesting he could have been undergoing some treatment.
