Man jumps to death from elevated Metro station
May 31st, 2011 - 8:34 pm ICT by IANSGurgaon, May 31 (IANS) A 22-year-old man committed suicide by jumping from the elevated Sikanderpur Metro Station in Gurgaon Tuesday, police said.
“Sandeep Sharma, a lab assistant in Hansraj College, jumped off the Sikanderpur Metro Station. We rushed him to the nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries,” said Poonam Singh, a police officer.
Sharma, a resident of Malkaganj in Delhi, got married three years ago and is survived by an 18-month-old daughter.
“No suicide note was recovered from the spot,” the officer added.
