Man jumps off sixth floor of hospital
December 30th, 2011 - 11:48 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Dec 30 (IANS) A 23 year-old mentally disturbed man was in critical condition after he jumped off the sixth floor of a hospital, police said Friday.
“Usman, the victim, has received serious injuries and his condition is critical.
According to police, he was mentally disturbed.
“The incident was reported 2.15 p.m. Friday when Usman on the pretext of going to the toilet went near the window and jumped off the the sixth floor of the AIIMS Trauma Centre,” said a police official.
Earlier, he was referred from Hindu Rao Hospital to Trauma Centre due to serious injuries which he received after falling from his residence roof in north Delhi’s area.
He was admitted to AIIMS Trauma Centre on Dec 16.
“His condition is serious therefore the hospital has kept him in the ICU,” said the officer.
