Man involved in murder, robbery arrested
March 14th, 2011 - 12:09 am ICT by IANSNew Delhi, March 13 (IANS) A 23-year-old man suspected to be involved in murder and robbery cases was arrested in west Delhi, police said Sunday. Several of his family members are alleged bootleggers.
Amit Malik was arrested Friday from Raghubir Nagar area.
He was wanted in several cases of robbery, murder and dacoity. “He had committed the crimes along with his associates Joginder alias Joga, leader of their gang, Johny, Phool Singh and Narender Bisht,” a police official said.
He has six siblings and all of them are bootleggers apart from other family members, said police.
The gang was involved in robberies worth lakhs of rupees. In 2009, Amit along with his associates committed a robbery in D.B.G. Road area of central Delhi and looted Rs.98 lakh.
