Man involved in 300 vehicle thefts held
January 16th, 2012 - 6:26 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Jan 16 (IANS) A man wanted for standing trial in over 300 vehicle theft cases was arrested in east Delhi early Monday, police said.
Manoj Bakkarwala, suspected to be involved in thefts across north India, was nabbed by a special police team near Ghazipur border early in the morning.
“He was in a Volkswagen Vento car when arrested. A .32 bore pistol, two magazines and eight bullets were also recovered from him,” a police officer said.
A cash reward of Rs.1 lakh was earlier announced on his arrest, police said.
