Man held with heroin worth Rs.10 mn in Delhi
February 27th, 2009 - 10:22 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )New Delhi, Feb 27 (IANS) A man hs been arrested here for possessing 1.032 kg of heroin valued at Rs.10 million in the international market, police said Friday.
Deepak Pandey, a resident of Jalandhar in Punjab, was arrested from Haiderpur Bridge in Samaipur Badli, where he had come to deliver the consignment Thursday.
“During interrogation, Pandey said he is a bootleggar and had been arrested by the Punjab police in a number of cases. He was also involved in a murder case. He said in order to earn easy money he took to drug trafficking,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Alok Kumar said.
