Man held with explosives in Chhattisgarh
June 14th, 2011 - 12:04 am ICT by IANSRaipur, June 13 (IANS) A man was arrested Monday and a huge stock of ammonium nitrate explosive and detonator sticks was seized from him in Mahasamund district of Chhattisgarh, police said.
Abul Qayyum Khan, 41, from whom about 80 kg ammonium nitrate and 229 detonator sticks were recovered, was arrested near Orissa border, about 150 km from state capital Raipur.
Officials at police headquarters here said they were probing if the seized explosives were meant for the Maoists.
