Man held for wife’s murder
May 19th, 2011 - 10:20 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, May 19 (IANS) A man was arrested for killing his wife after alleging that she was having an affair with another man, Delhi Police said Thursday.
“Parmod Jaiswal was arrested from Bihar Wednesday,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police Anil Kumar Ojha.
During interrogation, Jaiswal told the police that he had murdered his wife Geeta at his rented residence in Dwarka in south Delhi.
“He was suspicious of his wife’s character and suspected that she was having an affair with someone else. On May 11, when he got home, he found a man rushing out of his room. He slit her throat and repeatedly stabbed her,” said Ojha.
Police said that after killing his wife, Jaiswal consumed liquor and boarded a train for Bihar.
