Man held for supplying illicit liquor
May 6th, 2011 - 11:18 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, May 6 (IANS) A 22-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly supplying illicit liquor in south Delhi, police said Friday.
The accused has been identified as Dara Singh, 22.
“The police received information on suppliers who bring liquor from Haryana and supply it in Okhla. On Thursday, around 10.35 p.m., police apprehended Dara Singh from Okhla,” said Additional Commissioner of Police Ajay Choudhary.
During interrogation, Singh disclosed that he brought liquor from Gurgaon in Haryana and supplied it to bootleggers in Okhla.
The police have recovered a car, 14 cartons of whisky and 22 cartons of country spirit from him, the officer said.
