New Delhi, Dec 4 (IANS) A 30-year-old unemployed hotel management graduate has been arrested for posting morphed and obscene photographs of two Jet Airways air hostesses on social networking sites, police said Friday.
Special Cell sleuths arrested Jitender Singh Thursday. He is married and lives in Rohini area of northwest Delhi.

“Singh and the victims have a common friend. The victims some time ago had a dispute with their common friend. So, Singh downloaded the victims’ photographs from their Facebook accounts and sent morphed obscene version to their friends and colleagues,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Alok Kumar told IANS.

“Singh was not told by the common friend to take such actions against the victims,” he added.

The police said Singh also posted these morphed obscene photographs at another networking site Orkut to circulate the photos.

He reportedly used fun.inbahrain@gmail.com and jetairwaycrew@gmail.com IDs to circulate these photos.

Police said a case was registered on victims’ complaint after they were alerted to the photos by their friends.

The women, residents of Delhi and in their early 20s, have been working as air hostesses with Jet Airways since 2005.

“Some boys also started calling them and sending them text messages, since their contact numbers were provided in their accounts too,” said a senior police officer.

The police have arranged for their profiles to be deleted.
