“Pooja Mahajan, a housewife, informed us around 7 p.m. from her house in Dilshad Garden on Saturday that Deekshit Sharma was beating up dogs and in the process killed two,” said a senior police officer.
When police arrived at the spot, Sharma managed to flee. “When we told his parents to send him to police station, he went to Mahajan’s house and attacked her,” said the officer. Sharma was arrested later.
Sharma, who lives in the same area, often picked up a fight with Mahajan objecting to her feeding the stray dogs in the area.
A case of mischief has been registered against Sharma, said the officer.
