Man held for killing father
July 7th, 2011 - 10:07 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, July 7 (IANS) A 26-year-old man has been arrested for murdering his father as he did not like his womanising, police said Thursday.
Mohammed Rafi poisoned his father Mohammed Usman Ahmed, 60, which made him unconscious, and then strangled him.
Ahmed’s body was found in his home in Zamrudpur area of south Delhi Wednesday.
When police questioned Rafi, at first he said he was not present at home when his father died, but later broke down and confessed to killing his father.
“Rafi revealed that his father married twice and after a few years started living in Delhi with another woman. This irritated him,” a police officer said.
Rafi, who was born from Ahmed’s first marriage, also had a sister whose wedding he wanted to arrange, but his father did not take any interest, which further angered him, the police officer said.
