Man gets three years in jail for drug trafficking
May 12th, 2010 - 9:33 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, May 12 (IANS) A court here Wednesday awarded a three-year jail term to a man involved in drug trafficking.
Additional Sessions Judge Sanjiv Jain also fined Dev Chopra Rs.15,000 under the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
Refusing any leniency, the judge said the man was also facing charges under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crimes Act for allegedly trafficking in call girls.
Chopra, who allegedly supplied drugs in high-profile parties in the capital, was arrested Oct 1, 2005 at a bar in Mehrauli here.
