Man dies after gas cylinder explosion in Ghaziabad

Ghaziabad, April 20 (IANS) A man died Monday after a gas cylinder exploded in his house here, police said.
The incident took place when Chhote Lal was illegally refilling the liquid petroleum gas (LPG) from a gas cylinder in his house at the Nurpur locality of Ghaziabad.

“When he was refilling the LPG from a domestic cylinder of 14.3 kg to an illegally manufactured five kg gas cylinder, the domestic cylinder exploded and Chhote Lal blew into pieces,” a police officer said.

He said the explosion was so intense that the roof of the house was blown off.

After the explosion, local residents informed the police.
