Man commits suicide by jumping before train
March 26th, 2011 - 10:19 pm ICT by IANSMahoba (Uttar Pradesh), March 26 (IANS) An employee of the Uttar Pradesh irrigation department committed suicide by jumping before a moving train here Saturday, an official said.
Mata Deen Ahirwar, 28, jumped before the Sampark Kranti express train and died on the spot.
“We are yet to establish the reason that prompted Mata Deen to commit suicide. According to his family, he was under depression for the last few days. No suicide note has been recovered from his possession,” Government Railway Police sub-inspector B.R. Verma told reporters in Mahoba, some 300 km from Lucknow.
It would be investigated if he was facing any pressure from his seniors, he added.
According to police, a railway employee tried to prevent him from running towards the tracks but he did not succeed.
