Man commits suicide after killing wife, son
July 23rd, 2010 - 8:20 pm ICT by IANSGurgaon, July 23 (IANS) A middle-aged man allegedly committed suicide after killing his wife and son in the Civil Lines area of Gurgaon, police said Friday.
“Initial investigations suggest it is suicide but we are also probing the murder angle,” a police officer said.
The bodies of 34-year-old Dharmpal Taneja, his wife Neetu Taneja, 30, and their son Arpit, 10, were found at their Sector 9 residence Thursday evening.
Medical reports suggest that Dharmal first strangulated his wife and son and then poisoned himself, a police officer said. Dharmpal worked as a technician with Maruti Suzuki.
“The son was in his school uniform and his body was lying with that of his father in the drawing room. Neetu’s body was in the bedroom,” the officer added.
A neighbour saw the bodies and alerted the police.
