Man burnt alive for alleged extra-marital affair
November 30th, 2009 - 2:48 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Patna, Nov 30 (IANS) A man was burnt to death in a Bihar village for having an alleged extra-marital affair with a neighbour’s wife, police said Monday.
Dilip Ram, in his 30s, was burnt alive late Sunday at Sumera village in Muzaffarpur district, about 70 km from here.
“Ram’s neighbour allegedly caught Ram in a compromising position with his wife. This angered the neighbour so much that he along with others first beat Ram and then burnt him after pouring kerosene on him,” a police officer said.
However, Ram’s wife Janki Devi told police that her husband did not had an extra-marital affair and was burnt as part of a conspiracy.
