Man booked for threatening judge
September 2nd, 2011 - 2:19 pm ICT by IANSLucknow, Sep 2 (IANS) A man in Uttar Pradesh was booked for threatening a judge to secure a favourable case verdict, police said Friday.
Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) of Ambedkar Nagar district Ram Kishore Thursday approached the police after receiving a threatening call on his phone from Arun Kumar Rai, a native of Sainthuwa village.
?Security of the CJM has been tightened… Arun threatened to eliminate the judge if he failed to give the verdict in favour of his relative Subhash Chandra Rai,” Police Inspector Ashok Shukla told reporters in Ambedkar Nagar, some 140 km from here.
Arun Kumar is absconding.
