Man battered to death for stealing mobile phone
November 19th, 2009 - 8:58 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Nov 19 (IANS) Five people were arrested in the national capital for allegedly beating to death a man who allegedly stole a mobile phone, police said Thursday.
The incident took place last week when the victim, Vinod, was having drinks with the accused in a house in Neb Sarai area in south Delhi, a police officer said.
“Vinod had stolen the mobile phone of one of the men. They beat him with sticks in order to get the phone back. He succumbed to the injuries,” the officer said.
