Man arrested with explosives
August 5th, 2010 - 2:36 pm ICT by IANSLucknow, Aug 5 (IANS) A middle-aged man has been arrested with a huge cache of explosives, including ammonium nitrate and detonators, from Uttar Pradesh’s Banda district, police said Thursday.
Ram Manohar was nabbed late Wednesday from Naraini area with ammonium nitrate, 200 detonators and 70 feet long fuse wires. His aide escaped.
“We cannot rule out the possibility of the man’s involvement with Maoists. Investigations are on,” Deputy Superintendent of Police Gajendra Singh said in Banda, some 300 km from here.
