Man arrested in Noida, mobile phone recovered

Noida, May 7 (IANS) The Noida police have arrested a man and recovered from him a mobile phone that was robbed April 8 - the day when robbers struck at five places in this township, killing a former air hostess and injuring a retired army officer. Superintendent of city police Mahesh Mishra, the Sector 58 police of Noida Tuesday night found a suspected criminal roaming on the streets and questioned him.

During interrogation, the man revealed his name as Vishamber, a younger brother of criminal Anil Balmiki. Anil, a resident of Surkha village here, is wanted in the murder of former Virgin Atlantic air hostess Sheeba Thomas.

Vishamber confessed the mobile phone was gifted to him by Anil who had robbed it from Paul Abraham.

Abraham was robbed by motorcycle-borne criminals in Sector 61 on April 8 when he was returning home.
