November 4th, 2011 - 2:20 am ICT by IANS New Delhi, Nov 4 (IANS) A 37-year-old man has been arrested for killing a married woman
who started ignoring him after being in an illicit relationship with him, said police.
Mintu Mandal, who is from Munger in Bihar, was arrested from east Delhi’s Nandnagari areas Wednesday.
“The deceased Rani,30, was found murdered in a room of a factory in north Delhi’s Bawana (area) at 4.15 p.m. Tuesday. She was residing with her husband and two children where her husband worked as a watchman at night,” said a police official.
When Deshraj, the deceased’s husband, asked his son about the incident he told him that Mandal strangulated Rani with a muffler.
The accused is Deshraj’s friend.
“Mandal told us that he had illicit relations with Rani for the last four months but for the past 10-15 days, she was ignoring him and insulted him several times. He suspected that she was doing this for having relationship with another person. So he decided to kill her,” the official added.
