Major fire in Delhi showroom
July 18th, 2010 - 1:54 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, July 18 (IANS) A major fire broke out in a shoe showroom in central Delhi Sunday morning, an official said.
The fire broke out around 11.15 a.m. in the Baluja showroom in Connaught Place.
“The fire is still on. We are trying to control it. Six fire tenders have been sent to douse the flames,” the official of the fire department told IANS.
The damage could not be ascertained yet. The cause of the fire also was not yet known. “We can not say right now whether the fire was caused due to electrical short-circuit or any other reason,” the official said.
