Major fire at Delhi factory
May 12th, 2011 - 7:11 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, May 12 (IANS) A major fire broke out at a chemical factory here Thursday afternoon, a fire brigade officer said. No casualties have been reported yet.
The blaze broke out at the factory on Bawana Road in Shahbad Dairy area of north Delhi.
“The fire was reported around 3.40 p.m. Around 25 fire tenders have been rushed to the spot,” the officer said.
He said firemen were working to douse the blaze which engulfed the entire factory.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
“The factory housed highly inflammable chemicals in cans,” he added.
