Maharashtra bank robbed of Rs.1.4 million

State Bank of India Jalgaon (Maharashtra), June 8 (IANS) Three robbers Tuesday forcibly entered into a branch of the State Bank of India in Maharashtra’s Jalgaon district and decamped with Rs.1.4 million, police said.
The branch is located in Shendurni village of Jamner sub-district.

“Three robbers came on a black Bajaj Pulsar motorcycle. Their faces were covered with cloth. One of them was also carrying a sword,” a police officer said.

They injured a bank employee and held customers hostage before looting the cash, the official said.

“According to initial estimates, they have looted Rs.14 lakh (Rs.1.4 million),” the officer said.
