Madhya Pradesh celebrates 63rd Republic Day
January 26th, 2012 - 6:46 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Bhopal, Jan 26 (IANS) Madhya Pradesh Governor Ram Naresh Yadav unfurled the national flag and took salute at a ceremonial parade on the occasion of 63th Republic Day at the Lal Parade Ground in state capital Thursday.
The governor inspected the guard of honour by a large contingent of armed police personnel, NCC cadets and sports teams, and praised the tableaux which highlighted the development of the state.
On the occasion, schoolchildren and folk singers also rendered cultural programmes laced with the spirit of patriotism.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan hoisted the tricolor at Jabalpur and addressed the citizens to efficiently discharge their duties for re-building the state.
He said the state government’s approach to development is founded on community-government partnership.
The state will ably achieve more than 10 percent growth rate in this Five Year Plan owing to its efficient financial management and result-oriented policies, said Chouhan.
