Luxury car used in robberies found in Gurgaon
March 3rd, 2010 - 8:24 pm ICT by IANSGurgaon, March 3 (IANS) A stolen luxury car involved in robberies in the national capital region has been recovered from a posh neighbourhood of Gurgaon, police said Wednesday. A weapon was also found near the car.
The Ford Fusion with the registration number DL3C AN 2275 was recovered in the Palam Vihar area here Tuesday night. Police say it was used for robberies in Delhi, Gurgaon and Sonepat.
It reportedly belongs to Delhi-based industrialist Amit Bansal, police said.
“The car was robbed from Amit Bansal Feb 17 from Bawana area. After that the robbers committed two more robberies using the same car. We have alerted the Sonepat and Delhi police,” said a senior police officer.
“We have also recovered a live cartridge and part of a foreign made pistol near the car. The recovery was made in front of House Number 301 of Palam Vihar.”
